Getting your website optimized for SEO is one of the main process in ranking your website.

Marketing and Technical techniques that are used to bring traffic to your website and in the process engaging your visitors to keep them coming back to your website or to turn them into customers and sell your products online is known as website optimization.

Improving User Experience :
Improve your User Experience all over your website. The visitor shouldn't feel lost when they are on your website. When you post an article always make sure to follow internal linking and related articles, this will help the user to catch up with the other articles on the same category and it will also help in boosting traffic for other pages.
Page Speed :
When we visit a website and if it takes ages to load will any of us want to stay there, the answer will be NO for the majority of us. Your site will directly affect your website performance which in turn will affect the no of visitors visiting your website. Remove the pages that are not used and clear all unwanted data.
Tools for Optimizing website:
I use two main tools to optimize my website, one is Google Speed insight and the other one is GTMetrix.
One need to just enter the page URL, these tools will provide you details that will help you determine at what level your website is at and what needs to be done for improving your site's performance.
Minify CSS, JavaScript and HTML :
Minifying will help in removing unwanted redundant data like Code comments, White space and Newline characters, which in turn will help to improve your site speed.
You can do it manually by using online tools or automate using plugins.
Plugins and Themes:
If you are using a theme and plugin based Web development platform like WordPress, Magento etc., make sure to remove all unused themes and plugins.
Remember to always have 2 themes in your website not more than that, because in case if your website is down and it is a theme-based issue you can always use the second theme to keep your website up and running.
For example:
When you download a WordPress package it will come with three versions of theme named Year wise like "twenty nineteen". You can use the latest theme to create a new custom theme and delete others.
Caching :
Caching will help to load your website faster. When a user visits your website for the first time the browser stores a static copy of your website to load it faster when they return.
There are lots of caching plugins available for WordPress like W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache etc.
Sitemap :
Sometimes Google will find difficult to find pages without any internal links pointing to them. Sitemap XML will help google identify all the pages and to understand your website structure.
